It started with a simple observation: bakery teams were losing margin every morning to the same avoidable decisions. How much should we make? What is running low? What got wasted yesterday? What still lives in somebody's head instead of a system?
We watched owners rely on gut feelings, handwritten notes, and fragmented tools while bigger operators had real systems for planning, inventory, and execution. Independent shops deserved that same operational leverage without enterprise complexity.
That didn't seem fair.
So we built DoughOps, a bakery operations platform designed to connect planning, recipes, inventory, waste, checklists, compliance, and growth workflows in one place. We started with production planning because that is where the pain is immediate, then kept building around the rest of the day.
Because every bakery deserves more than another spreadsheet and a crossed-fingers forecast.
